Description:
This dataset contains a list of all inspections of state-funded schools in England between 1 September 2019 and 31 August 2024 (since the introduction of the Education Inspection Framework), along with their outcomes. Schools are anonymised but the dataset contains some contextual information about the schools as well as some performance data.
The dataset includes some characteristics of the inspectors that carried out the inspection. The inspectors are anonymised. It includes the inspectors’ employment status (contracted Ofsted Inspector, HMI or Senior HMI), role on the inspection (lead or team member), gender and age band. For Ofsted Inspectors who were employed by a state-funded school at the time of the inspection, the dataset includes the overall effectiveness grade of the school they worked for.
