Description:
AD|ARC (Administrative Data | Agriculture Research Collection) is an England and Wales led project aiming to create an anonymised agricultural data resource to generate new evidence to support farmers, farming households and farm workers. AD|ARC links de-identified electronic records that are collected by departments across different governments. AD/ARC – 2011 England linked dataset will provide data from the ONS including the 2011 Population Census and the Inter Departmental Business Register. The Department for Environment Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA) have also provided two sets of data - a subset of the 2010 English Farm Structure Survey data and Rural Payments data.

The DEFRA Farm Structure Survey dataset contains crop areas, livestock numbers and the numbers in the agricultural labour force. The rural payments dataset is provided by the Rural Payments Agency and contains payments made under the Basic Payment Scheme as well as agri-environment schemes such as the Sustainable Farming Incentive.
