Description:
The Census 2022 Scotland covers two products: the Scotland's Census 2022 Individual
Secure Microdata Sample and the Scotland's Census 2022 Household Secure
Microdata Sample. These products are intended to be comparable to
the corresponding Scotland's Census 2011 products previously provided by
NRS.
The Individual Secure Microdata Sample is a 10% sample of individual
person records in the 2022 census output database for Scotland. The
Individual Secure Mcirodata Sample file includes person-level data on
around 130 variables. The lowest level of geography is Council Area. The
dataset includes: people resident in households and communal
establishments; and both usual residents and schoolchildren or full-time
students living away from home during term time.
The samples for the two proposed products do not overlap and cannot be
combined.
Census day for the 2022 Census was the 20th March 2022. Full information
on how the 2022 Census in Scotland was conducted is available on the
Scotland's Census website.
